The primary role of Peninsula Bushwalking Club is to promote, encourage and foster positive experiences associated with walking and bushwalking, and to ensure the members are made aware of the safe and correct procedures in bushwalking through activities and the sharing of experiences with other club members.
Schaumburg HOUSE is a non-sectarian group of homeschoolers that supports all educational philosophies and family lifestyles. We facilitate activities, classes, cultural events, and general gatherings to offer our children opportunities to make friends and be part of a larger community.
This group is for homeschooling families who are interested in joining or attending our public events.
This is a group for people who like to get together often and play all types of table games. We get together every Tuesday, but weekly attendance is not required.
We are a group of skeptics, atheists, agnostics and the nonreligious cognizant of the pitfalls of groupthink or any in-group/out-group labels and behaviors. As skeptics we attempt to prefers beliefs and conclusions that are reliable and valid to ones that are comforting or convenient, and therefore rigorously and openly apply the methods of science and reason to all empirical claims, especially their own. A skeptic provisionally proportions acceptance of any claim to valid logic and a fair and thorough assessment of available evidence, and studies the pitfalls of human reason and the mechanisms of deception so as to avoid being deceived by others or themselves. Skepticism values method over any particular conclusion. Join us for casual discussions and events with other like-minded people.
All memberships will be reviewed at six month intervals. If you have not attended any events in that period you membership may be terminated. However, you can rejoin at any point thereafter if you do find future attendance will be possible.
