Ampersand Mountain Hike

Let's climb 3352-foot Ampersand Mountain, located directly south of Middle Saranac Lake. This is a steep and rugged trail, but the rocky summit features outstanding vistas in nearly every direction. Can you believe that in over 20 years of hiking, I have only climbed Ampersand twice? Let's hope for good weather, because this is a very scenic mountain.

Hiking Distance: 2.7 miles over steep and rocky terrain, with an ascent of 1777 vertical feet.
