Solo canoe tryouts

With Gold Coast Paddle Club

Sat, Oct 19 • 1:00 PM - Sat, Oct 19 • 5:00 PM

If you have ever wanted to try out a solo canoe you are invited to join us at Half Moon Lake and test different solo canoes. Little River Dave and a couple of friends are generously offering members to try out their canoes to anyone who is interested.

You must provide your own PFD. There will be a few canoe paddles to borrow, but if you have your own canoe paddle or would rather use a double blade kayak paddle please bring them along. You may want to bring dry clothes in case you get wet.

There will not be any shuttling as we will be paddling on the lake.

Moore County Park is on M37 at the curve around Half Moon Lake. It is about 1 mile south of Bailey if you are coming from the north, or about 2 1/4 miles north of the roundabout at M46 and M37 if you are coming from the south. Follow the drive into the park until you see the canoes on the shore.
