ABOUT OCEAN GROVE NATURE RESERVE
The Ocean Grove Nature Reserve is the last patch of natural woodland on the Bellarine Peninsula, home to native orchids, wildflowers, and plenty of birdlife. The easy loop tracks meander through sheoaks, eucalypts, and open grassy areas, offering a gentle walk with lots to see along the way. Keep an eye out for kangaroos, wallabies, and colourful parrots. It’s a quiet, tucked-away spot that feels worlds away from the nearby town, perfect for a slow and peaceful wander in nature.
FOOD + CUPPAS
After the walk, we’ll have a cuppa at the picnic tables near the car park. I’ll bring the tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Feel free to bring anything to share!
WHAT TO BRING
MEETING POINT
Follow the Google map directions to Ocean Grove Nature Reserve. Enter the picnic area from Grubb Rd, and follow the dirt road (Info Rd) to the back carpark. Please drive slowly, as there are potholes, and possibly animals. Park in the back carpark. Please do not leave large gaps between vehicles, as the carpark is quite small. You will see the Escaping Your Comfort Zone 4x4 in the carpark.
CARPOOLING
Carpooling is a great way to save car park space, cut down our environmental footprint, and travel with new friends. Many of us come from similar areas, so please drop a note in the chat if you can offer a lift or need one. It's great to offer a small contribution (or even a coffee) to your driver.
