📌 Sorrento Millionaire’s Walk + Lunch + Ferry Day
🏡 Stunning clifftop views, grand coastal homes and seaside history
🚶 Slow-paced, mostly flat walk with some gentle inclines. 4-5kms. No one is left behind.
⛴️ Return ferry trip between Queenscliff and Sorrento (own cost, see below)
🍴 Lunch in Sorrento after the walk (buy your own) - location TBA
♿ Footpaths, some uneven coastal sections and steps - not wheelchair accessible
🚻 Toilets available near ferry terminals and in Sorrento township
🐶 No dogs
🚗 Carpool to Queenscliff recommended – parking near the ferry terminal
ABOUT THIS WALK:
We’ll start with a scenic ferry ride across the bay from Queenscliff to Sorrento, soaking in those beautiful coastal views before setting off on the famous Millionaire’s Walk. This spectacular clifftop track winds past some of the Mornington Peninsula’s most impressive homes, with sweeping ocean views, rugged coastline, and plenty of “wow” moments along the way.
The walk is all about slowing down and taking it in - expect stops for views and photos. After the walk, we’ll have a relaxed lunch together before making our way back on the ferry to Queenscliff. Details of the Millionaires walk: https://walkingmaps.com.au/walk/4094
TIMES:
8.30am - meet inside the passenger terminal at Queenscliff Ferry. Please be parked, and have your tickets purchased by 8.30am. Fares: Adult $40 ($38 if purchased online), Concession $36 ($34 if purchased online).
8.50am - board ferry for 9am departure.
9.50am - arrive Sorrento and start Millionaires Walk
12pm - lunch
1pm or 2pm - catch ferry home.
WHAT TO BRING
Water: at least 1L (more if it’s hot)
Clothes: comfy, with layers you can add/remove
Shoes: any comfortable shoes with laces
Raincoat: if you have one and rain is possible
First aid/medications: Your health is your responsibility. Bring your own first aid kit. Don't forget any puffers, antihistamines, epipens etc if you use them. Remember you are in the outdoors.
Emergency contact info: use our form (or write details on paper, in a ziplock bag, in the top/front pocket your pack)
CARPOOLING
Carpooling is a great way to save car park space, cut down our environmental footprint, and travel with new friends. Many of us come from similar areas, so please drop a note in the chat if you can offer a lift or need one. It's great to offer a small contribution (or even a coffee) to your driver.
