ABOUT POINT HENRY
Point Henry is a fascinating mix of history, industry and nature. Once Geelong’s original landing point and a popular seaside resort in the 1800s, the area later became home to the iconic Alcoa smelter. Today, its peaceful wetlands and coastline provide important habitat for migratory birds, pelicans, swans and other native wildlife, making it a unique place where Geelong’s industrial heritage and natural environment meet.
