Escaping Your Comfort Zone - Side by Side Nature Walks is for women who want chilled out, short and slow adventures. We don’t care about size, speed or fitness. We go slow, we go short, we leave no one behind. It’s about fun in the outdoors, because we can! These walks are for women aged 50+.
📌 Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk - Wallington
Since the former Bellarine Basin has been beautifully transformed and opened up to the public, it’s the perfect time for us to check it out together. The site has been renamed Murrk Ngubitj Yarram Yaluk (headwaters of continuous flowing river) in collaboration with the Wadawurrung Traditional Owners. The early word is that the new paths are incredibly accessible, the wetlands are alive with frogs, and the native plants are flourishing.
🚶 Slow, flat, beginner-friendly walk (around 1.5hrs) - its a 3km walk. No one is left behind.
♿ Sealed and gravel paths - not wheelchair accessible.
🍴 Cuppas provided, BYO cups. Feel free to bring some baked goods to share!
No dogs allowed in this area
🚻 No loos - please go beforehand, or "cop a squat".
🅿️ Please reverse park in case of emergency, or you need a jump start
🚗 Carpool if you can - save space, cut costs, and shout your driver a coffee or lunch as thanks.
