GIPPSLAND - More Challenging - Mt Bishop - Wilsons Prom

Join me as we slowly ascend Mt Bishop in the gorgeous Wilsons Promontory. We will be surrounded by bush as we make our way up to the Mt Bishop track via part of the Lilly Pilly Gully walking track.  This scenic hike will treat us to picturesque views from the summit. After enjoying the view we will make our way around Lilly Pilly gully.

This hike is approx 10km, and will take approx 3.5-4 hours and we will be rewarded with stunning views at the top.

Due to the incline and distance of this hike it is NOT recommended for beginners and is rated as a More Challenging hike. We will be stopping at regular intervals to allow everyone to regroup. There will also be plenty of time to take photos along the way.

Hike Leader: Jess - I’ll be driving a barina

Important COVID Information - please review the latest COVID information that applies to this hike

Hike Rating: More Challenging (refer to Hike Ratings for details)

  • Due to the incline and distance of this hike it is NOT recommended for beginners and is rated as a More Challenging hike. We will be stopping at regular intervals to allow everyone to regroup. There will also be plenty of time to take photos along the way.
  • This track is a well trodden earth track with a few obstacles in the way such as tree roots, rocks etc but these are nothing to worry about and just add to the beauty of the walk. If we get to an obstacle and you are worried let me know and I will help you through it. The track can be slippery after rain so poles are recommended.
  • We will walk for 3.5-4hrs in total, with tons of drink and breather stops.

Please contact me if you have any specific questions or concerns!

Dogs: Unfortunately dogs aren't allowed in the National Park

Accessibility: This hike is not suitable for wheelchairs or prams due to the terrain.
