The outdoors do not care about your shape, your speed or your fitness, and neither do we!!

This a small group trip with Leader Jess C, and a maximum of 10 guests.

Join us for a weekend of snow play, waterfalls, amazing sculptures and exploring the beautiful little town of Marysville.
This trip is perfect for anyone who wants to experience the snow without any pressure to do anything that you haven't already done before. You will have the opportunity to play in the snow, build a snow man and maybe even throw a snow ball or 2.
We will drive up to see the stunning Steavenson Falls on the Friday evening, spend the Saturday playing in the snow at Lake Mountain and the explore the enchanted gardens of Bruno's Sculpture Garden on the Sunday morning.
We will be staying in the Riverview Cabins in the Marysville Holiday Park with everyone having their own private room.

This is an adventure, with amazing, supportive, body positive women & non-binary peeps, free from judgement, diet talk, or any expectation of fitness.

Is it for you? YES! Like all of our activities, this is great for beginners, or those just starting out. You can opt in or out of any of the activities, or cut them short, and only do those you are comfortable with. You don't need any level of fitness, just a willingness to give it a go!

As always, we walk at the pace of the slowest person, stop a A LOT, and pose for plenty of pics. I tell you, up here, you will fill up the memory card on your camera or phone!

Important Information about driving there:

We recommend that you do not plan to arrive in the dark.  Whilst the road in is a good bitumen road, it is very windy, and there will be wildlife from dusk until it gets dark.  Please ensure you factor in stops, and breaks to your drive that may make it a bit longer.  We highly recommend that you take Friday off, and take a leisurely drive up, stopping at all the bakeries on the way!!

Inclusions:

2 nights accommodation in the Riverview Cabins at the Marysville Holiday Park with everyone getting their own private room
Breakfast each morning, Dinner on the Friday night and lunch on Saturday. We will be having dinner at the Pub in Marysville on the Saturday night and there is a great bakery to get something before we head home on the Sunday. Dinner on the Saturday night and lunch on Sunday are at your own cost.
Resort entry into Lake Mountain Ski Resort and chain hire for the cars traveling up the mountain and entry in to the Sculpture Garden

Plenty of time for R&R

Total:
$510pp for yearly paid members
$550pp for non-yearly members

Deposit required on booking to lock in your space: $145. When you RSVP, please pay your deposit within 7 days of RSVPing, otherwise your place may be offered to others (we have a max of 10 people for this one).  This is non-refundable unless we can get someone to take your spot (though we usually can, if its not too close to the date!).

Snow specific information.
I know for some people the snow is a very intimidating environment. We will make sure that everyone has everything they need to have the best possible time in the snow.
You will have the opportunity to hire snow Pants, Jackets and Boots if you require them. We will be hiring them through Cross Country Ski Hire Marysville, who carry up to size 9XL. As different people will have different requirements the hiring of gear will not be included in the overall price of the weekend. Budget for about $50-$60 for boots, over pants, a jacket and whatever else you may decide to buy on the day. Gloves and beanies are not available for hire but are sold at the store. A basic pair of gloves is about $15-$20.
Below is some great info about what to wear when going to the snow.
Snow clothing
Base layer. Merino or polypropylene thermal underwear is best. Merino is more expensive but has excellent temperature-regulating properties.
Mid layer. Polar fleece clothing is the best combination of weight and warmth for your mid layer. Cotton hoodies, sweatshirts or trackie pants are not usually warm enough on their own and they get wet very easily, but they can work OK with a thermal base layer and a proper waterproof outer layer.
Outer layer. When you have a waterproof and windproof jacket and pants you simply don’t notice the weather. They’re expensive to buy but worth every penny when the weather’s poor. Luckily, they’re cheap to rent! You can hire your outer layer jacket from us from just $10 a day for adults and kids.
Gloves and boots. Keeping your hands and feet warm and dry at the snow is super important, especially when conditions are damp. Waterproof and insulated gloves and boots are best
Beanie. You lose most of your body heat through your head, so wearing a beanie is a really easy way to stay warm.
Goggles or sunnies. Sunnies are usually OK, but goggles are better. You’ll definitely want goggles if the weather’s terrible.

We will be travelling up to lake mountain in convoy so we will need 3 other cars to get everyone up there. Please let me know if you would be willing to drive 2-3 other people. The road up to lake mountain is a relatively easy drive only taking about half an hour from Marysville to the top. These cars will carry chains and be covered for the resort entry.
Chains: We will require the cars that drive the 30 min drive up to Lake Mountain to carry chains. It is very unlikely that we will need to put them on out cars and if that is the case there will be someone up there to help. The cost of the chair hire is covered in your overall booking.

Food: Breakfast will be provided each morning along with dinner on the Friday night and Lunch on Saturday. We will be having dinner at the Pub in Marysville on the Saturday night and there is a great bakery to get something before we head home on the Sunday.
The breakfasts will be slow cooked oats with stewed fruits, yoghurt, toast or cereal.
Dinner Friday night will be home made spaghetti bolognas with garlic bread.
Lunch Saturday will be make your own rolls with all the fillings to make your favourite. We will be taking these with us to have lunch in the snow. Fruit and snacks will also be provided.

Please let me know if you have any additional dietary requirements.
