If you havent seen it already, the volunteer led walks for EYCZ will be wrapping up at 30 June. Check your email for an email from me with details, or check the EYCZ FB Group for the post.
We would love you to join us for the final EYCZ “Day Camping” celebration, to catch up with new and old friends, and to look back on 7 years of incredible adventures. This invite is extended to anyone who has been involved with EYCZ over the years, leaders, members and anyone else who has been a part of the adventure. This is an opportunity to sit around a campfire, look back on the fun we have had, share stories, and make new plans together. Id love you to join us, so check your diaries! And invite anyone you think would like to join us for the celebration.
This will take place at the Valley Picnic Ground (note the new location!) Look for the EYCZ flag! Note the revised location, don't go the the Lower Valley picnic area. Easiest way to find the picnic ground is to simply click on the Google Maps link: https://goo.gl/maps/9LDoSoirNbr4nGSe7
Please reverse into the carpark, and be mindful that there will be many people coming, so don't leave too much space between cars, and make a second row in the middle of the carpark if needed.
Please BRING A PLATE of food to share, sweet, savoury, store bought or homemade, bring something small to share!
Please BYO camp chair to lounge on.
If anyone has a marquee, or a table or a stash of firewood, I'd love a couple of volunteers to bring these along - please lets know if you can help with these.
Kids: As we expect quite a few people along, its not an event for kids.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome if they are well behaved, kept on a short leash and will sit quietly next to your chair. As it will be a big group, with multiple dogs, please only bring yours if its not too excitable. All dogs must be kept on leash as all times. .
Accessibility: This picnic area is a flat area, but there is uneven ground, and mostly dirt/grass underfoot. Parking is close to the picnic area, though we expect it may fill up, so you may need to park a short walk away (you can drop chairs etc off before taking your car to be parked)
What to bring
Camp chair
Warm clothes (that might get a bit smoky)
Plate of food to share
Raincoat or umbrella, cause, well its Victoria in June!
Any medications you might need, such as asthma puffers and antihistamines. Your health is your responsibility.
Other key information:
Toilets - there are drop toilets at the picnic area. There are flush toilets a short drive away (at Rangers Station and Big Rock picnic area)
Parking - theres plenty of parking - if all spaces are taken, just park along the road. (always reverse park into all EYCZ events)
I look forward to having you join us for this celebration!
Cheers

Heres a description if you prefer: Enter via the main entrance to the You Yangs, via Branch Road, and follow the signs to Turntable Carpark, look for the sign for Valley Picnic Ground on the left, just before where turntable drive splits to the one way section. If you get to the Lower Valley Picnic Ground you have gone too far, so turn around and come back to the previous picnic area. Use this link to google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/9LDoSoirNbr4nGSe7
