Details of The Day

This will be a long day with approx. 5.5 hours on the bike, much of the day will be spent riding at or around National Speed limits, please only sign up if you’re sure you will be comfortable with this.

This ride is taken from the 2016 edition of "Biker's Britain" by Simon Weir and called "Bedford Loop". It’s an early start from South Mimms Services and blast up the M1 and A6 to the start of the “Bedford Loop”.

Extract from “Biker’s Britain”

It's the combination of great bends and a classic, photo-friendly English-country background that make these roads perfect. The route has every kind of corner from fast turns and tight turns to S-bends and even a hairpin - all found in quiet, relatively traffic free countryside [Simon Weir]

Ride Pace - 20mph, 30mph & 40mph limits will be strictly adhered to, members should ride their own ride and at a pace they are comfortable with. You should not worry if you feel you've been "left behind" sometimes, the tail gunner will never pass you and there's no expectation of having to "keep up" – the corner marker system means you won't get lost no matter what.
