Details of the day
This the same a Cheryl's ride, only starting at Beaconsfield for those living North of London. We will meet up with Cheryl and her group at Stonehenge.
If you need another excuse to avoid Christmas shopping, queuing in multistory car parks and trying to keep the cat out of the Christmas tree, how about some (homemade) Rock Cakes at Stonehenge. Sunday 18th of December is the shortest Sunday of the winter and cause for celebration as Sundays will now be getting longer - whoop whoop! It is Cheryl's tradition to ride to Stonehenge for a coffee and a rock cake and be back before sunset (3.55pm) and I'd like to extend that tradition to you, albeit led by BikeRNick to meet Cheryl at Stonehenge.

Please note that we will be going to the visitor centre only and not around the stones.

Please bring a packed lunch if you do not want to be fleeced by English Heritage - the prices here are shocking (nice gift shop though for some last minute Christmas henge tat). While they sell rock cakes Cheryl will bring some homemade ones (which may resemble shingle by the time she arrives - its the thought that counts).
Please read the below details carefully.

Open To All
This is a long ride, 170 miles and 5 hours in the saddle. We will be spending 9 minutes on motorways and a few more miles on dual carriage ways. For this reason it is not suitable for learner riders and anyone who isn't confident maintaining the national speed limit on A and B roads. There is a mix of roads from good quality A roads to possibly single track lanes with varying road conditions (I've not ridden the route myself yet). Experienced/confident 125cc riders are welcome. There is no pressure to ride outside of your comfort zone.
This ride is weather dependent. While a bit of damp road and drizzle will only add to the excitement, risk of ice or heavy and persistent rain will mean the event is cancelled. Check this event before setting out.
Please ensure you read all items in the important information section.
