Just getting into rock climbing? Come learn the essential skills to join a club cragging session or to get out with your more experienced friends. Over the course of two days you will learn:
Max 6 participants. Please note that participants will be screened for this course. Once you are accepted into the course, groups.place will send you a notification and you will be able to pay your course fees through the app.
The ACC is an inclusive, beginner-friendly group that strives towards providing access to all humans. Discrimination or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. Individuals who express discriminatory behaviours will be removed from the course.
Dates: Saturday June 4 and Sunday June 5. Please arrive by 8:00am to sign waivers and start walking to the crag by 8:15am. It you need to pick up rental gear the morning of the course, please contact the instructors ahead of time.
Cost: $60 per person
Prerequisites: General fitness and a supportive attitude - no rock climbing experience necessary!
Required Gear: Please review the gear list carefully to ensure that you have all the necessary gear for the course. Climb On provides free rentals of harnesses, shoes and helmets to participants in ACC courses.
Note: All ACC courses are led by volunteer instructors. While our instructor team is knowledgeable and experienced, we are not professional guides. The course fees are use to support volunteer training and development, purchase club gear, and support the general operations of the club. We understand that there are many barriers to participating in this event. We want to reduce those barriers as much as we can. Please let us know what we can do to help.
