We are pleased to have Rob Asbeek Brusse - former chair of ACC- Vancouver and mountaineer with decades of experience, for an evening presentation on climbing, hiking, and exploring in Grand Teton National Park.
Located in northwestern Wyoming, Grand Teton National Park is one of the most striking mountain landscapes in North America, with dramatic peaks rising directly above lakes, forests, and wide open valleys. The park offers an incredible range of opportunities, from classic mountaineering routes on the Grand Teton, Mt. Owen, Teewinot, and Mt. Buck, to sport climbing, scrambling, hiking, and photography throughout the area. Many of these objectives are easily accessed from the American Alpine Club’s Climbers’ Ranch, located right in the middle of the park.
The talk will cover:
• Classic climbing and hiking objectives
• What it’s like staying at the AAC Climbers’ Ranch
• Travel logistics and planning tips
• Why the Tetons can make a great alternative to the Canadian Rockies
• Other things to do in the area beyond climbing, such as
♨️ Hot springs

The Vancouver Section is also planning a 9-day Tetons camp this summer, and this could be a great chance to get connected and learn about the trip.
