The full moon rises at 7:23 pm (@104 degrees).
We will launch in the Racine Harbor at the public launch and do a short paddle through the harbor before hitting the Lower Root. It's a lot of fun navigating through the harbor and enjoying the boats and people. We will continue under the bridges up stream and see a cool old swing bridge (though it doesn't swing anymore). We will make our way back toward Lake Michigan to be able to catch the moon rising over the Lake.
The river remains wide and hopefully deep for quite a distance. Most of time it's hard to believe that you are in the middle of an urban setting.
